In what seemed like an instant, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed just about every aspect of life as we know it. As we forge ahead in 2020, we—as individuals and as a fraternity—need to find ways to move forward and navigate an emerging new world. Though that world has been keeping us apart in challenging ways, we are able to reflect upon a deeper unity and meaning that comes from the Phi Tau brotherhood.
It is no surprise that in the face of all the uncertainty in our world, we’ve found solace, connection, support, and creativity through Phi Tau. For 90 years, the chapter has served as a home away from home for generations of Phi Tau brothers. It has served as a source of support; a place for new beginnings; and a source of personal and professional growth.
Many of our undergraduate brothers have expressed concerns about new employment circumstances, unprecedented financial difficulties, and an inability to pay dues. To support the challenges of our undergraduates, we have set up a temporary "Covid-19 Tactical Relief Fund." In a generous gesture that embodies the values of our chapter, we have had an alumnus pledge to match up to $10,000 of donations specified to that fund.
